SKILLET
Skillet is an American Christian rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1996. The band currently consists of John and Korey Cooper , Jen Ledger and Seth Morrison. The group has published to date, eight studio albums , the most recent Rise in 2013. Two of his albums have received Grammy nominations and has sold over two million albums in the United States. Throughout his career Skillet has had several lineup changes , leaving the vocalist and bassist John Cooper as the only original member still in him. John formed in 1996 the band Skillet with Ken Steorts . They had met during a previous tour, when Cooper serving as vocalist for the group as Seraph and Steorts guitarist Urgent cry . After the early dissolution of both groups , John and Ken encouraged them to form their own band as a side project . Coming from different styles within rock music, as they decided to name their new musical project Skillet ( skilled ) . Soon after, Trey McClurkin joined the band as a temporary drummer.
Barely wore together for a month when one of the main Christian record companies ForeFront Records showed interest in them. This is how the end of that year came his first album, titled Skillet, which was well received by the public, then the trio continued to write new material as they went on tour in the United States
During 1997, Skillet combined his tour to the United States with the preparation of the next album, titled Hey You, I Love Your Soul, released in April 1998. Soon join the training Korey, wife of John, for playing keyboards and guitar, and relieve the duties of John in his shows.

BEN KASICA: Guitarist best known as a former lead guitarist for the Christian rock band Skillet. Since leaving the band he has engaged in producing and engineering recordings and graphic design.
